i was set on booking grand oasis cancun, but after reading quite a few reviews, it seems as though a lot of them were negative.

besides that, are there any other hotels you would recommend?

    The criteria is as follows:

good party base for spring braek

    5 star

    excellent room maintenance/cleaning/service

    pool/beach access

    quality of restaurants

To be honest, there's no 5 star spring break hotels. All of the higher star resorts pretty much ban spring breakers from staying there, so they are forced to go to the Oasis or one of the cheaper hotels

Yeah, there are not a lot of really nice party hotels in the world (from all my travelling, Hard Rock Vegas is the only exception to that rule). Reason being partiers usually distroy nice hotels. That's why Oasis is the craziest party hotel in Cancun but it's also the shittest hotel in Cancun.

My advice is to book at a nice hotel and buy day pass to Oasis. That's what I always do. 5 star is unnecessary. Omni (stayed in '07 and will be staying in '10) and Hyatt (stayed in '09) are typical 4*, clean and good service but nothing super fancy about them. ME (stayed in '08) is a really trendy and nice 4* but most rooms there don't have balcony.

Is GranD oasis the same as Gran oasis cancun?

Which of these is shaped like a pyramid?

Also, what does a day pass for oasis entitle you to?

    How much does it cost?

the pyramid is the Grand, a little nicer rooms and you get a few more options when it comes to eating. I think the day passes are around 25.00 and get you entry from like 11am until 6pm, that includs all you can eat and drink.

    Thanks mate.

With these day passes, are you allowed access to the club parties?

So if i wanted a really nice hotel near the oasis, which is the best one for party wise?
