Has anyone had problems with flight times being changed? We booked through cheapcarribean.com and our flight time to Cancun was changed without us knowing. We've called them and AA several times... now were waiting on a response to see if there is anything we can do. Just wondering if anyone had any tips...

Flew Cleveland to Dallas a few wks ago on United and they changed our flight times. Flying US Airways to Cancun in Aug, so far no change. Because of the change in our Dallas trip I called multiple airlines b4 booking our Cancun trip and was told no flight times are guaranteed.

I've had flight changes on other airlines but normally by 30 minutes or less...how much of a time change is it?

We booked in January for our trip in June and somewhere along the way our flight time was moved about 40 minutes, both on our trip out and our return flight. It happened last year as well, so I knew to check on it. Since we are fortunate enough to have direct flights to Cancun it was not a big deal at all. Sorry about being stuck with the extra layover, that sucks.

If it makes you feel any better after reading this I checked on my flight with US Airways and found out that our seats had been assigned, needless to say even though I purchased both seats at the exact same time we are sitting on opposite ends of the plane. Row 11 and Row 34. Ugh, I called the airline to find out what was going on and was told that the only way we could have seats together was if I upgraded to choice seats for an additional charge of course. Just one more way for them to make a buck, I'm so annoyed right now.

We have had AA change our times in the past. Our experience was we could change our flights without penalty because they changed the times. If there is a fare difference then you would have to pay but not a fee for changing. You might be able to use that to get a more favorable flight.

We had this happen to us on AirTran when we flew to Puerto Rico. They allowed us to change to a day earlier at no charge after I explained that their flight changes conflicted with our plans in PR! Worked out perfect for us since we wanted to go earlier anyway!

US Airways changed our 715am flight to 915am. They contacted me 5 hrs before the flight at 2am with a recording. I called them and switched to an earlier flight. We got to Cancun with no sleep.
