The one consistent thing we notice was how well the resort was maintained in every minute of the day. So in honor of all of those that go unmentioned but yet we all appreciate their work(other than the bartenders), we would like to start a thread here to do exactly that. We have heard that the resort does read the forum and hopefully the names that get mentioned enough will get their dues! hard work deserves respect! We challenge all of you to meet, make a short conversation or just let them know how much you appreciate them other than just the tips we leave for them, and also remember their name. You will be surprised how easily you can remember them even when drunk! So, in that, our housekeeper for the week in room 2310 didn't just clean house, she scoured every inch of our room. Even dealing with all the naughty stuff we left on the nightstand and forgot to hang the DND sign. We thank you so much ROSALINDA!
Narda the bellydance instructor. She's a wonderful dancer (if you ask nicely, her first love is fire dancing, and she'll show you some of that, too!)
most definitely Arturo the towel guy !! That kid always has a genuine big smile in his face and always very very polite and helpful
Our maid was Juanita and she was great as well. We tipped her a couple times during the week as well as the maintenence man who came to our room to fix the table lamp that was flickering.
We are up just prior to sunrise several days each trip to do sunrise photo shoots on the beach. We are always amazed at how much staff is running around at 5am getting every little detail done around the resort. People out changing bed sheets on the beach, pressure washing concrete, arranging chairs by the pool, watering flowers and shrubs, touch up painting on the walls, not to mention all the resturant staff getting our breakfast ready. I think this is a great thread. Last year the resort was having a weeky get together on Monday nights at the cigar lounge where repeaters could meet all the department heads over cocktails and finger foods. It gave us a chance to meet with every supervisor from every department and speak to them personally about the pros and cons of the resort. Head of maintenance, housekeeping, food services, guest services, hotel management of every level was there. It was nice to be able to do exactly what you're trying to achive here, only we got to tell the bosses face to face what a great job the staff and behind the scenes staff, do to make our few days in paradise just that, paradise. It was also nice to view some of our concerns, for example: last year, each day a few more umbrellas would go missing from the sexy pool. After talking with the head of maintenance, I learned there was an event at one of the other resorts that required them, and that they would all be back the next day...which they were. To the TTR staff that reads this, THANK YOU
Sinue from Margaritas (now at the Village Wok) and Lorenzo at the breakfast buffet are fantastic. We would ask for Sinue as a server every day we could he was so good. Made our trip for sure!
