Do they take credit cards? I will probably need to go there to buy 3 or 4 bottles of tequila (for myself and gifts) and I don't want to spend cash. Thanks, Carlos
You will have to take a taxi or bus to get there...not walking distance. There is a bus stop right outside to the right of TTR. You can ask the driver Walmart? and they will let you know if they are going in that direction. Not sure if they have Crown or not...I would check the strip mall across from the resort first if that is the only reason you are going to Walmart.
Just in case... Just in case, you haven't thought of it...liquids in those amounts have to go in your checked bags, unless you purchase at duty free. I can't believe how many people at Cancun airport have to toss bottles in the trash at security.
Its about 15-20 minutes with all of the stops on the bus. You can catch the buss about 100 yards out to the right of the resort. I didn't think I would ever say this and will deny ever saying this while sober, but going to Walmart was kinda fun. (The Cancun one anyway). I would recommend the trip, once.
walmart does have crown, but the last two trips i bought at the duty free store that is located right next to the baggage claim. unlike the other ones they give you the bags there instead of at the gateway. :drunk:
Yeah in the new arrival terminal they have a bottle shop right in Baggage Claim that has prices very comparable to anything else we saw. Nice and easy to pick it up there without having to make any special trips. And besides, you have 10 to 15 minutes to kill waiting for your bags anyway. Although I'll agree with J4 that a trip to Walmart in Cancun is different and should be tried at least once. Jamie
I am not trying to be mean. Its just that its kind of far and out of the way from what I remember, if your not going that way, from the hotel zone. I would think like everyone said hit up the duty free shop or just spend some extra pesos not to make the jaunt over to Wal-Mart.
