A Message for Dave and Ellie

I am frustrated and saddened by the amount of anger and emotion that your posts have evoked from many of my forum peers. Your posts have continually angered many of us with their demeaning remarks and lack of tact. Early on, I laughed off many of your remarks but once you started insulting my friends and my wife, you have made this personal. I am not a judgmental person but I find myself thankful that I do not often come across people that are as mean spirited and rude as your posts suggest you may be. It was tiresome in Cancun last week as there was at least one daily Dave and Ellie conversation as we tried to understand what compels you to behave in this manner. Never in the history of this forum have we come across someone who has caused so much drama and anger. There is no room for this in this forum....period.

I do not understand your motivation nor do I care about the reason. I ask that you stop immediately, and I ask that my peers do the same. No more demeaning remarks, no more negativity, no more homosexual-based remarks, no more juvenile posts. Steve had created such a great forum and it helped cinch our decision to visit TTR for the first time last year. I wonder how many people our bickering has turned off and frankly that pisses me off. I have noticed that you have started many explicit based threads but I urge you to better understand the etiquette on the forum and keep such content out of the Temptation Resort Cancun thread and if you really need to post it, keep it to the Temptation Chatter threads. A look at how many of your threads that Steve has had to delete or move, illustrates my point.

I really believe this starts with you. Try taking the high road and leave out the crap. I think that if you gave it a chance, you would find that our group of people are passionate, intelligent, tolerant, and a helluva lot of fun. You may not agree with some of our activities or themes, but just leave it be. I do not have any control as to how you will respond to this - but it starts now.

To my friends and peers, please do not use this thread as an opportunity to further more negativity.

Well hello all, Although I'm new to this site, we joined I think it was Nov. I've really enjoyed reading many of the report, photo's etc. However I'm starting to wonder if you have to be part of a certain click to be apart of this. I've read some of Dave and Ellie's posts, and not sure I'm getting what your all upset about... Maybe I'm commiting Cancun Cares Suicide here, Maybe some of us New people don't understand the rules. Are certain threads only for certain people?? I've put my two cents in here and there but now I'm wondering, if I don't agree with you all then I could be getting one of these threads directed at me or us. I've noted that some people think D & E posts are humorous, each to their own I say. Am I missing somthing?
As a newbie... I'm seeing more and more threads directed at individuals and I didn't think that was what this site was about. So what if someone thinks somthing is stupid, silly or whatever there is an ignore button right? Are we not allowed to comment on the photo's, or threads.. Please let us know the rules.

I've seen some people have enjoyed D & E's post have conversations with them, then somthing like this is started and they jump on this band wagon. Not sure I understand and not to sure others will either.

Seeing threads like this for me... as a somewhat newbie is more disturbing than some of their off handed comments and innuendo's as we all have been told there is an ignore button.

So you can tell me to screw off and I will, cause right now I just don't get it, but then again I'm not part of the TTR Cancun Cares... Click am I?

OMG!!...Everyone .. lets not go down this road.. there are no clicks.. no personal groups.. no thread that you cant post on.. and if I am not wrong.. "Steve" is the one to decide who is and who isnt following the rules..just every one use common sense...

two wrongs dont make a right.. so lets not flashbacks to the highschool drama of (popular groups and not popular groups) stop us from posting, getting to know each other and having fun on here..

& I'm not "known" here either & not one of the crowd, lol, but I've shyed away because of this stuff.. They started threads targeting others & then play the victim when they get called out... It's passive/aggressive..
Anyhoo, I'm back into hiding & to read about TTR!!!!

 

Good job Craig. You put into words exactly how many people on this forum feel. It was a real pleasure to meet, and spend time with you two!
