I've been to TTR once before and had many of the newbie jitters and anxiety about what too expect... But this time around me and wifey are so excited to get there and cut loose. TTR is such a carefree nonjudgmental place for great fun. Now I'm feeling overwhelmed with expectation and I'm still 30days out!!I feel like I'm already at TTR mentally. I think I'm going to get my drinking going and hit a few clubs a couple days out so I won't hit that first day wall a lot of you speak about. Anyone have any before TTR rituals or ways to keep focus until the plane departs?
Yup, but nothing works. We try to set short term plans to ensure we get something done in the month prior to departure.
We are 205 days away from arrival and have already started drinking to get our livers ready !!! Just make a list and check it twice and then a third time. Enjoy your trip !
Just party really hard on the weekends leading up to your trip. It even helps if you can pretty much manage to black out from Friday night after work until waking up for work Monday. Just a few hours of sobriety when you wake up each day is all you really need to eat and shower. It makes the time go faster, you have lots of fun you somewhat remeber, and it gets you in party animal mode. I have already started this routine and my trip isn't until May...actually I am in constant training mode all year between trips. As they say "Diets don't work, you have to make it a lifestyle"
Lmao!!! I love your advice!! Because rt now I'm like this at work... :banghead: That was my exact thoughts in regards to the party animal comment. Last time we spent at least 2days just getting use to letting go of our ambitions. I want to come in with them already down so I can enjoy the full stint of my stay. Im wishing we had topless Fridays at work or something...
We are 36 days out from our 22nd pilgrimage to Mecca After about your 10th trip you will start figuring out proper modulation
3 1/2 weeks to go here, and the damn clocks have stopped working. I'm on this website more than watching TV, it's a sickness
We talk about Temptation practically every single day LOL. It's the only thing we can talk about that's sure to put a huge smile on our face guaranteed. (We just have to make sure the kids aren't around when we discuss it!)
There's no such thing as too excited for TTR! We aren't going until November and it's all we can think about too! That first day wall, that happened to us our first time also! We've learned to power through it, with the help of some hair of the dog as soon as we get up! Scuba Steve hits the nail on the head with his advice!
We leave in two days....TWO DAYS PEOPLE....and I can't even focus at work because I am so excited. I am just trying to keep myself busy, but staring at numbers all day really allows for LOTS of time for your mind to wander. Lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
