Anyone have any insight on getting a la carte reservations on the first day? In our case we are landing at 11:30 and catching a private van so maybe 1:00 if no red light issues. Can this be arranged at the front desk or somewhere else? I am really not huge fan of the buffet. Cheers - finger crossed for good weather over the next couple of weeks.
Just eat dinner at Margarita's, they make a wonderful chicken and rice dish, among other things, much better than the buffet IMHO.
There are 2 sit down restaurants that you do not need reservations for. We always pick one of those the first night. Tex Mex and Seafood are both just walk up. We have had luck checking in early in the evening to see if they have no-shows at the reservation restaurants (Asian and Italian) but sometimes it is just less work to go to the walk ups.
Last year I sent an email to the manager of the italian for a resevation on the day I arrived and they were happy to do it
