I just tried to look at rooms for later this year, and EVERY DAY, after January 13th, is unavailable for the rest of the year. Not just in January, but literally every day of every month. Has anyone heard any buzz about this? A few months ago, I saw someone say that the staff on-site told them that, if the resort doesn’t get busier, they could only last five more months (not trying to pass on gossip, just quoting what was said). Hopefully I’m just being a cautious Chicken Little here and the sky is actually NOT falling.
I'm aware of many hundreds of current confirmed reservations throughout 2024. Probably a glitch Now that the property has been officially renamed as Desire Miches, I believe that they are in the process of switching over to a new reservation system that is currently being used for Desire Rivera Maya and Desire Pearl........
I appreciate the response! The FB group page had a post on it with some nervous innuendos, and it made me a bit nervous, considering I REALLY want to visit the resort this year with the Misses.
There’s now chatter from people at the resorts now… They’re saying that staff have been told that both resorts are being shut down in January.
Just got back, different management is taking over, likely new concept too. Both Desire and Temptation are done in miches after the 15th.
This doesn’t sound good. We have reservations to be there January 20th. Not sure what to do…. Any thoughts
According to some travel agents who run the FB pages, there will be an announcement this week (possibly tomorrow). HOPEFULLY, it’s being announced that it will stay a Desire property, but it appears that it will “shut down” and transition to another brand of property. Hoping it’s the former and now the latter.
