So our 1st trip to TTR is just 2 sleeps away...and I am wondering: - Do the more formal reservation restaurants really require long pants for the men? - What do the ladies typically wear to dinner? Thinking my themed outfits aren't really appropriate LOL...I'm assuming just a simple dress or something? - Oh! And one not about dinner...any recommendations for room blocks to request? Prefer water view and ironically not near the bar... You guys rock!! Many thanks!!
Hi, Our experience has been that pants are required in the restaurants requiring reservations. We haven't worn any theme outfits to dinner and, she usually just wears a simple sexy dress and then changes after into Paty'Os wear. Casual short sleeve shirt with a collar is my dinner wear with dress pants and dress shoes. That's the nice restaurants requiring reservations but honestly we often enjoy the casual buffet for its variety and to help avoid food allergies which is tough when ordering from a small menu. The buffet does require shirts and shoes on guys at lunch too so bring a T-shirt with you to the pool. Can't offer any advice in rooms as we like to be near Paty'Os but if the room you get isn't where you want just let them know right away & they will move you if they can. Have a great holiday.
Ditto to the above. Long pants and a collar on the shirt no sandals. For the ladies Sam likes to wear a nice sexy Dress for dinner but any dress will do
We stayed for 2 weeks last year and ate in all the restaurants. I never even packed a pair of long trousers, smart shorts and a short sleeved shirt we perfectly acceptable and seemed to be the attire of choice for about 50% of the men in there. We live in the cold north of England and the thought of wearing long pants whilst on holiday in a tropical climate really doesn't appeal to me. Hope this helps you out :wink3:. Have a fantastic time:musik026: Leeroy & Sarah xxx
I had casual shorts and button shirt short sleeve last year no problems, try 5000 block of rooms stay away from 2100 block.
I prefer long trousers and nice shirt on a man when in a restaurant, think it looks sexy, part of the evening dressing up.
I have never been to hot in the evenings to wear proper pants and shirt to compliment the lady's dress. The hot humid months july ect might be different
We bring 2 paire of jean just in case and to go back home. April still cold to have shorts on. For ben a casual short ( not beach. ) more like Clean with a nice shirt with sleeve and shoes on. And me dress or clean outfit with heels Envoyé de mon SM-G900W8 en utilisant Tapatalk

My wife typically wears a dress or skirt and top to dinner. I typically wear light weight dressy linen pants, with a button down. Or sometimes a stylish v neck tee. I have only gone in Sept before, it is so hot that I could not imagine wearing jeans. You sure can wear nice shorts with a collared shirt and be perfectly fine. But I figure if Elyse is wearing a dress, I should put forth a bit more effort to like we are both on the same page. Later after changing for PattyOs I typically look like an idiot!
