Hello all. So, I am a 23 year old guy from England, who is embarking on a 5 month trip through central america next march. My aim is to see beautiful scenery, explore ancient cultures and generally "find myself". So I figured what better way to start this spiritual adventure, then to blow half of my budget on spending a week drinking my body weight in alcohol and revealing my genitals to strangers.

As I'm arriving in Cancun around the time of Spring Break, I am planning to spend 4 nights partying there. My questions are:

    - What would be the best 4 nights to spend in Cancun? From what I've
read on here it seems like the peak time is somewhere around the 7th
to the 18th of March.... which days are likely to be busiest? What nights
in general have the most going on?
    - As I'm on a budget, I'm planning to stay in Hostel Green 16 in Pok Ta
Pok ($9 a night for a dorm). Has anyone heard anything about this
place? Or even better actually stayed there? $9 seems to be too good to
    be true.
    - How far is the walk roughly from Pok Ta Pok from the main bar / club
    area?
    - Is it easy to meet random people? Where are the best places to do that?
    - Is it true that girls from the USA are incredibly attracted to pasty, out of
shape, poorly endowed men who can't dance? Especially if they're from the
    UK?

I'm sure I have more questions to ask, but that's all I can think of right now. Any help would be much appreciated guys!!

Go anytime between March 8 and 15 for busiest time.
All of those days are busiest

Pok ta Pok is just a US$0.65 bus ride from everything.. beaches, clubs, downtown, every hotel, etc... no worries.

You will meet random people everywhere. Your best bet would probably be the beach. Once you meet some, you can make plans for the night, and everything flows from there. Go to the Oasis Cancun during the day and you'll meet more people than you can count.

Girls from the USA are attracted to free drinks.

Enjoy your trip, ask questions and we'll answer.

Just to clarify, that last question was a joke...

Anyway, thanks for the help guys. A couple more questions that I've remembered:

    - Tipping - what is a decent tip for the barmen? Do you tip them every time you buy a drink? I gather that in USA people always tip barmen, whereas in UK it's very rare. Is there anyone else you should be tipping in Cancun?

    - How easy is it to get in the clubs? As I won't be on any sort of package or hotel deal or VIP thing, am I going to have to queue for hours to get into the clubs?

Thanks again for the help guys.

All the clubs have promo guys outside selling tickets for that night if you have a word with them they will speak to the doormen who will accept a tip for Q jump usually in region of around $5

I know at Coco Bongo we bought tix from a guy outside and didn't have to tip anything in order to get right in. He might have included it in the price though.
