I've waited a long time to write this because I didn't know what to say . I don't know if anyone remembers him but UncleJerry has passed away . His slogan was everybodies favorite Uncle . I know he was a very likable kind thoughtful man . He was a big man with a big heart . He stood 6'5" and his wife Aunt Jean was about 2' shorter !! He found out at Christmas that he had stage 5 lung cancer and within a month was gone to be with the Lord . He didn't post on here much and he used to have an avatar on here but it's gone now . We've been there twice at the same time . The first time it was the last year of BBG . We played anything goes and had a blast . So I say raise your glass and say "here's to Uncle Jerry our favorite Uncle" !!
When you get "our" age, I suppose you can measure your remainning lifespan in terms of "trips to Temptations", rather than years.
Roy - I remember Uncle Jerry. I was there with you, Marie and Uncle Jerry that last BBG year. In fact, I was a team captain for Anything Goes...that was an amazing trip. Uncle Jerry was the one who taught me what 'Nice Shoes' actually meant, and was one of the first people I met there...and you're right...one of the nicest. I believe I have some pics of him from that trip somewhere. Hopefully there's a Sexy Pool in Heaven for the good guys.
That is right . That was such a great trip . You were a great captain . I'm sure he's going to watch over us .
He sounds like he's an amazing person and lived his life surrounded by those who loved him and TY for posting. Albeit, we didn't get a chance to meet him we take this opportunity to raise our glass in celebration of Uncle Jerry!! Cheers, C&V
