What a loss. Quite a beautiful canine too. Glad the handler/owner made the responsible decision. At times we are too self consumed with our own feelings that we neglect the feelings of our pets/domestic partners/working canines. They are hard to let go, but Ms. Flood can feel some solace knowing that Jake helped many people and that she helped him out in the end freeing him from pain and sickness.
