Am coming for my 3rd and probably final visit next year/ There will be about 10 of us and we are trying to decide where to go. We'd rather fly Thomson which has really left us with Riu Caribe? Anyone have any opinions on it and whats it like for an age group of around mid twenties? We are planning to come end of June - mainly as we have left it too late to book for March/April and also the world cup is on and we plan to watch games out there. I have been twice before and been to Barcelo Tucancun and Temptation. I'm guessing we want to go to a hotel which has activities and fun round the pool and will not interrupt our drinking games Also a few groups our age. So basically can anyone give ma low down on if the Riu Caribe will be ok? or if we should potentially look somewhere else? Half the lads coming are going for there first time so want to leave a good impression. Cheers
The Riu's are always a good choice for groups. I would choose the Riu Caribe over the Tucanacun (not so nice beach but better facilities). Also look at Riu Cancun or Riu Las Americas or you'll be a lot closer to the clubs and nightlife.
Yeah Riu Caribe is our choice. A couple of mates just come back from Riu Cancun and its about to be renovated isnt it? Riu Cancun doesnt seem to show up on Thomson for those dates though.
The people that just got back from Riu Caribe thought is was really good. You can read the post here: http://www.cancuncare.com/forum/cancun-info/27493-riu-caribe-grand-oasis.html
