Heading down to Temptations Sunday, July 11th for a week to celebrate our 25th anniversary. This message board and forum has been very helpful but a bit unnerving at the same time. Tip not tip, go here or there and even some people bashing each other. Our virtual world sure has changed us. We look forward to relaxing from very hectic schedules and meeting new people in a new country. Hope to see some of you down there to show us the ropes.
Have fun and enjoy. As for people, not everyone is as they seem both good and bad. We have experienced that when meeting people from here if it happens there are alot more people that will be real about who they are or what they are about. Just go and have a blast.
congrats on the 25 years and what will be a great way to celebrate it. i am one of the new ones on here as well. i have been reading a lot for awhile but didn't join until the week i decided to book my trip. it has been very helpful for me with a lot of specifics and also has confused me at times too. the tipping part has seemed to be a hot topic recently and i agree with the majority on here that its based on your personal feelings about the subject and the service you receive at the time you are there. i believe in tipping well for great service. i really liked tfords part about tipping those that are not used to it and the looks of appreciation received for it. where and where not to go...again i think that is a decision based on your likes/dislikes and what "mode" you are in for vacation. we are looking for a mixture of fun and relaxation surrounded by like minded, down to earth, grown ups. this seemed to be the place for us. we aren't into the big crowded club thing, so if the night life is quiet one night at the resort, im sure we will enjoy some quality time together. the bashing of other people...well from my experience i've only noticed one person (?) being quite arguementative and rude. i commented on that today because that really isn't what i joined this site for. we all have different likes, dislikes, and opinions thank goodness, but there is no excuse for the way some things were being handled. if you see the most recent threads tonight, it seems it has been addressed head on. just sharing thoughts of someone else new to the place with you. they have a lot of very sincere people on here that are here to share tips, advice and knowledge...use that same gut feeling you had 25 yrs ago to decide who to actually ask for facts. have a great trip for such a remarkable occassion. ~michelle~
Happy Anniversary to you!!! You will love the resort! as far as the bashing goes... well it seems some people got caught and others are just posting the truth about them. Never a good idea to lie about what or who you are.!
Happy Anniversary! Don't worry about some of the rubbish on the board at the moment me and my partner went mid june for two weeks and it was brilliant. When you get to the resort within a day or two you will know the ropes everyone in the resort is so friendly!!!!! Rich
Congratulations on your 25th and your upcoming trip. My wife and I will be there starting on the 13th. Her birthday is on the 14th. It will be our 4th trip and 2nd this year. We love the place and especially the people. Hopefully we will cross paths while there.
