We have been away from the resort for about 2 years and this site for about a year. Decided to focus on making and raising babies for a while but now we are excited to come back in April or may. I find it fascinating reading what has changed and what has remained the same. I read back several pages but there are still some gaps that I need help filling in... Appreciate the insights as always! So chinos is no longer at the resort but now he is on the booze cruise? We have mixed emotions about that. I bet the booze cruises are taken to another level but they were pretty amazing to begin with. How is the replacement entertainment staff? I am sure they can't compare to chinos but hopefully the daytime party continues. They still can't get the heated pool working? That is one of the main reasons we are pushing our trip to later. Too cold in feb (loved the people though). So do I understand right that the pool is open at night now? Every night? All night long? Do they have a real hot tub yet? Sounds like creep picture taking is still an issue and there still is no resort prevention of unwanted pictures? ...but if you hang with a group and self police then you can manage it fine? Can you still upgrade to a jacuzzi room for 50-100 a night (depending on how booked they are) upon check in? lingerie night still Thursday? Coco bongos still Monday? Don't want to miss those two nights. I see they have attempted several other resort theme nights. Have any stuck? Is playboy casino still there? I don't see any posts about it. Is it the same secret handshake to get to the high rollers lounge behind patti o's with the top shelf liquor, topless waitresses, jaccuzzis and full body massages? Sorry about so many topics at once but I didn't want to flood the board with ten repeat posts.
Last year an large English Bachelor party got out of control and the resort overreacted by clamping down with security it almost ruined the theme of Temptations.Girls couldn't kiss PDA was frowned upon ect.... The pendulum has now swung in the opposite way with more and more comments on laxed security. The music has gotten better too ( more variety)
WHAT? Girls can no longer kiss? What happened to the temptations I love. I can't wait for girl no holds barred arm wrestling competition again (if allowed). Anyone know what happened to mike and Kristen? I see they are no longer on the site. He was a great girl game innovator.
To answer a few of your questions... Chino's is awesome on the Boobs Cruise and it will be the time of your life if you go. The new daytime staff is OK. They are no Chino's and they try, but some days it can be dull. Chino's brought it everyday and knew how to make everyone have fun. The sports pool is open 24hrs now, but it's not heated. It was nice in the summer, but in the winter months, it's probably not used much at night. You can still upgrade to jacuzzi for $50-$80 a night when checking in. They do try to stop picture taking, but it happens. The staff was great about picture taking during lingerie night at Nice Shoes. Someone tried to take a picture and they went off on them. They announce it at the start, but then you still have a few ignorant people who try. lingerie night on Thursday, White night on Friday, and Coco Bongo on Monday. High rollers club??? You will have to tell us about this!!! There is the membership room above Nice shoes, but it doesn't have any of that.
We haven't been since Nov '11, but . . . They changed the handshake, but ask around and I'm sure someone will be able to teach it to you when you get there. The daytime entertainment staff tries really hard, and it's hard not to compare them to Chinos. If you had never been there when Chinos was there, you'd have a blast and think it was great. That being said, be sure to hit the Boobs Cruise! It's an absolute blow out now with Chinos running it. No heated pool and they have started to gear the hotel more towards a time share environment so don't be surprised. lingerie night is still in effect. As far as other theme nights, just keep checking the threads here for what will be happening the week you are there. They tend to change weekly. Last time we were there we had: White Night, costume night, naughty school girl night, glowstick night and a few others I can't remember.
Ha. I am glad someone picked up on the handshake joke. Those who asked that was just a tease but sounds like a good idea right? Sorry about that. I was beginning to think I was going to have to make something up. But then it would get really confusing when everyone started walking up to the sports bar bartender and doing a weird handshake with him The heated pool issues are frustrating. It was so cold when we were there in February and when I started reading about this $99 a night deal (if it really is legit) we started thinking about going first week of December and hitting either the 12/4 or 12/9 booze cruise and also going in April/March. Cold is definitely a deterrent. thanks for the info everyone.
The sexy pool is heated, but if you read the threads it's hot one day and then 3 days later it's cold. It sounds like they turn on the heat one day and hope it stays warm for 3-4 days so they don't have to pay to heat it everyday :icon_rolleyes:
