    Hi everyone.
me and my wife are going to be there from the 5th to the 9th and then go to Desire for a few days (4th time)
we are expecting a lots of fun on TTR, but 1 thing that I'm concerned is about the time share "talk" when you arrive, we of course are not interested, we don't know the resort yet, I think is normal to first get to know the resort your own way and then consider buying a time share, but someone posted that if you go to the welcome lunch, they offer some discounts or coupons for some of the services, does any one knows about this coupons and were can be used?

    thanks...:rainfro:

Plan on a bunch of time and not much for it. I would keep an appointment only if it is raining. Other than that, just a hardcore sales pitch. Easier just to tell them, NO!

yes, we definitely are considering a NO for an answer, the first time we went to Desire we got a 15% or 20% on the spa, and really was worth it...

My clock is ticking as soon as I get off the plane. No way in hell is 20% off at the spa worth hours of my vacation.

We've never been to TTR but we almost bought into RCI. I think it was RCI. They probably have properties all over the world. We were just going to tell them we were members somewhere else and not interested.

They like to pressure all new guests to buy which is totally wrong, get to know resort first, and if you feel like going there multiple times a year it maybe worth it, but not once a year. You will always find better deals elsewhere.

We warned a newbee last year not to do it, but they went to the meeting and signed up for membership and eversince they regretted it.

Also the rumours have the resort going into a major re-build next year, they could change the theme and change it to a family resort, very risky to buy now

Not sure if it's coz were from the UK ( so too far to make regular trips) but nobody invited us for a timeshare talk, no one even mentioned it at reception. We were all geared up to say no no no to hard sell and it just didn't happen!

I've often wondered what happens when folks check-in really late at night? Is there always someone there managing the timeshare desk? Of course the downsize of a late check-in is you typically have the last pick of rooms...
