1st timer TTR questions

Hi Everyone!
We are going to be at TTR from 1/23-1/30, and we are SUPER excited! I fall asleep dreaming of our vacation and I've already started packing! We've done a lot of research but I still have a couple of questions that haven't been answered. Maybe you could help? We'd also like to start meeting some people on this site so that we could get together at TTR. All input is welcome! Thanks!
Does anyone know what the butler does besides your bath in the Drops of Love package?
What is the low down on the Sensual Fitness program? does it costs extra? is it out in the open like pics I've seen?
Is the downtown outing to coco bongo, sr frogs, etc worth it?
what is the best cheapest way to go to Isla Mujeres...hubby wants to know if we can just take a HobieCat....

The easiest and safest way to Isla Mujeres is the inexpensive water taxi.

 

Golf cart

The inexpensive water taxi is definitely the best way to get to
isla mujeres. Once youre there rent a golf cart and tour the island by yourselves. You'll have a lot of fun.

 

CoCo Bongo

Is worth it at least one time. Don't go for the party but rather the show, it's pretty well done.
On the down side it is very crowded and hard to get a drinks sometimes.
The cost used to be around 50 per person for VIP. Not sure of the current cost.

 

DO NOT TAKE A HOBIECAT TO THE ISLAND!:sauer024: It looks close but is several miles away and the waves get bigger than you would expect out there.

 

A booze cruise is also a fun way to see the island. Look for one that is adults only. Steve, the administrator of this site, organizes them and may have one going when you are there

 

Check the January Roll call section to meet others that will be there in January. As for downtown. GO TO COCO BONGOS!!!.
Most important thing to remember, once you step off that plane, leave all your worries at home and enjoy. TTR will take care of the rest :-D

wow been there 7 times and never knew about the snesual fitness or the drops of love package,gonna hav to do some research

 

We did the Drops of Love package a few years back. The butler drew the bath, asked if everything was OK and that was pretty much it. At the time we got a great deal. Somehow on the AMEX website, the price for the DoL package was less than the oceanview room rate. We didn't argue. However, having done it once, I would not pay a lot extra to do it again. You might want to try to upgrade at check in at the front desk. Always a good idea. Have a great trip, guaranteed you'll be back for more.
