Looking forward to our trip in a couple days,

Can anyone tell us about the water quality at the resort or do we need to plan for a Walmart run for water?

    Thank you

The water is fine. You will get bottled water in your room (1 big bottle) but we never had any trouble drinking water in the restaurants, bar, room or even consuming ice in the drinks.

If you leave the resort however make sure you stick with bottled water.

You're more likely to have issues with raw fruit/veg than the water IMO...less due to prep, than simply different micro organisms present int the region.

If you thing you're going to be extraordinarily sensitive to the ice/water, 1/8 - 1/4 shot of vodka will kill anything even in bubba mug....and will help maintain that all-important buzz during meal beaks as an added bonus.

I only had a problem once after eating the fruit. I drink the water every time and never had a problem.

Yep water is fine. First time I figured play it safe and use bottled water for everything, which lasted all of one day. After drinking all day I forgot and brushed my teeth straight from the sink. Completely fine. The only time I get sick is after drinking vodka and God knows what else for days on end.

Be careful eating stuff you're not used to though. I seem to have a 50% chance of getting sick eating fish I haven't cooked myself, but took a gamble at the Italian restaurant one night and lost :(

Sure. Take your mug to any bar too that's open and they'll give you ice if you want it.
