Hey All, Well after reading this forum for the last week, we wanted to finally post to say hello and ask you guys a few questions as we are temptations newbies. Hopefully other 1st timers might come across this and it might be of help as well...so here we go. 1) Shuttles from the airport to Temptations, do they exist? are they marked and how often do they run. 2) What games/activities do you recommend 1st timers try? 3) What off site activities do you recommend? We were looking at the Chichen Itza and the Pirate dinner show. 4) Since its just the 2 of us and not a group, what are some of the social areas or activities that allows singles or couple travelers to meet others at the resort. While it is nice to do our own thing its always nice to meet new people. Sorry for the long post but we cant wait to go and I should mention that we are going to be there on Feb 25!
theres a link on here to prearrange a shuttle to the resort, use that. Play any of the games u can. U will meet tons of tpeople that way and theyre all fun. Pirate dinner is ok and is more family orientated but they can get u pretty drunk. Chichen Itza is nice if u like ruins and stuff like that but its a long trip and back(basicaly whole day gone). And last, just sit and drink at the pool bar, u will meet almost everyone there at one time or another
1) Yes they are available. Entertainment Plus is highly recommended. We always use them. 2)Play all the games you can. Just keep an open mind and have fun. 3) Steve's Booze Cruise is a must. Other than that I can't help you much. 4)Look on this site for a roll call when you are going, print off those listed to be there at the same time, and take the list with you. Other than that just introduce yourselves to others and enjoy.
I would advise you to send the host (STEVE) a picture & he will add it to your avatar. Then add your name to the FEBUARY ROLL CALL sticky along with your dates. Then we can see what you look like & welcome you when we see you @ TTR. We arrive on the 24th & would be glad to show you around Scott & Lori
You can book transfers or shuutles with your flights.....or cab it. try all the games...just fun. pirate dinner is good, coco bongos forsure, and cancuncare booze cruise. there are buses that go to specific bars.......every night and also there is a booze cruise put on by the hotel on fridays i believe...........it goes to carlos and charlies and the city another bar..........mostly Temptation's guests.
We just got back and I suggest USA Transfers..The one Steve recommends..They were on time..both for pick up and departure..You will meet all kinds of friendly people no matter where you hang out at the resort.. If you want a high energy club go to Coco Bongos but my husband and I really enjoyed Senor Frogs..Have fun!
Shuttle question How much time did you allow for the shuttle for your return flight. Is the airport nuts, did you need to be there 3 hours before?
Our flight was for 3:30..They picked us up at 12:45... If you give them the time your flight departs they will suggest a pick up time at the hotel..I feel 2 1/2 hours would be sufficient but I did like not having to stress about being pushed for time, got to look at some of the airport shops and such..They're so many taxi drivers and people at the airport it is nice knowing you have things prearranged. The guy was waiting right where we were told he would be and he even gave me time to get a drink from the airport bar. I liked not having to use a credit card to book anything..I just gave my flight numbers and times, paid the driver 45.00 for the pickup+ tip (you decide the amount) and then 10.00 fro the return.
I'm confused i thought the tour lady told me transfers from the hotel and to the hotel were paid for... Juli
Great to hear you had a good transfer experience suzieq. Spoke to a few people today who had excellent service too. Link to book your airport transfers is in my signature below, or via the USA Transfers button at the very bottom of this page
