It depends on what you are going to do...I bring $200 for tip money in $1 and $5, $200 for incidentals and my credit card for anything else. Extras could be $75 per extra activity like club outings, booze cruise, scuba trip roughly.
Also, if you get lucky enough to add an overnight guest!

Club outings are usually around 50 unless its a party hopper. Activities vary depending on who you go through anywhere from 30-over 100 for dolphins. The last two times I have been to TTR, I always spend less than 200 and I tip pretty well because I am a bartender. My finacee and I always go to Coco Bongos and that is usually the extent of our clubbing because we enjoy patio lounge so much. I usually splurge for a bottle of wine once or twice to have a little variety.

I recently exchanged my dollars for pesos taking under consideration the advisement of american monies in Mexico. Should I get some american dollars as well just in case or will pesos cover tipping - I like to tip as well :)

Pesos are great for tipping. At the resorts, it was always hard to get some smaller pesos, so if you buy something, use a larger bill to get change for tipping.
It kinda depends on your travelling habits.

Thanks, Suzie! I think we'll have a great group. I'm looking forward to meeting Sue and the rest!
I must admit that your NYE group sounds like alot of fun. You'll be there with all of the virgins!:partytime: Perhaps you should return for the April Addicts Return! :ernaehrung005:

Yup sure sounds like a great crowd - and NYE is shaping quite nicely as well.
If all goes well this time around (which I'm quite sure it will), April will defintely be in the cards.
    Travel safe!
