We focused alot last year on outfits and being prepared, and quite frankly were disappointed with the lack of participation from most people. White night had the most participation - the women really went all out, but the men mostly just white shirts and any colour pants. We are not focusing so much on the theme nights this time around, and the couple we met last year (who were are travelling with this year) feel the same way. Not sure if this helps.
