Hi everyone! Hubby and I will be coming for our first time June 26th - July 1st. This is going to be our first trip out of the country, or even our first real vacation! We skipped a honeymoon for lack of funds and after almost 8 years married we’re hoping to kinda turn this into one! Is there anything that we should know prior to our trip? I’m seeing some posts about having to sit through a timeshare presentation and how that will give you access to other perks? We opted to do the Jacuzzi Plush Playful Experience for the free bottle of sparkling wine, free room service and the massage… plus, why not? What is the alcohol situation like? We are both tequila lovers and would love to stay with that throughout the trip but also open to hearing what everyone thinks! Thanks in advance for any and all advice!
We had our first trip in 2010, very nervous and had many of the same questions. Although we have never sat through the timeshare presentation and not much on alcohol, I would like to offer you some personal advice. This is a very sensual, sexual resort... Which also makes it unique and special. That being said, please make sure you have discussed each and every scenario prior to arriving, having a few drinks, and finding yourself in a situation you are not prepared for. You found this forum, which means you are on the right track in researching this resort. We are not into the lifestyle, we have been there over a dozen times and going to Grand Miches in October. We have met and made a number of life long friends in which we met there! Hopefully you will find everything you are looking for and more, please be aware, if this is the "Place" for you, you will find yourselves more in love than you have ever been! P&L
No shortage of tequila at resort, but if you are brand specific, may want to pick up a bottle at duty free before leaving the airport for the resort.
Thank you for the advice. Hubby and I have been in the LS for a couple of years now, which is another reason we landed on this resort. After we booked our trip, I found out about Desire and was kindof kicking ourselves for not going that route. But figured if we had a great time at Temptation our next trip will be at Desire. When I found out about the topless pool and theme nights I was sold. I can’t tell you how long I have been telling hubby I wanna be on a beach with the ta-tas out and a drink in my hand. I think we’ll find ourselves right at home.
Talking about tequila, the ones TTR is using are like 20 dollars bottles, jimador, hornitos, sauza and plastic bottles tequila . Other brand of tequila are for sale. In front of the hotel is an Oxxo (as 7eleven) where you can buy better tequila and best price of the hotel or duty free
Go with an open mind and no expectations! Participate in the theme nights! Don't be afraid to talk to anyone/everyone!!! Try ALL of the restaurants! Take it easy on the first day!! I tell our friends not to sit thru the sales presentation until their second visit! Make sure that you truly love the place and can make it back (we haven't missed a year since 2010 except for covid only because we weren't allowed to leave the country ). My hubby LOVES his tequila, he has never complained about the selection, he will often drink different kinds each day just for variety lol Bring a sealed cup (like a yeti or contigo) you'll make less trips to the bar & keep the pool water out!!!
