Been a while since I've been. Always use USA Transfers. However, on the return trip, I know they pick you up REALLY early compared to when your flight departs. If I have a 5:30p.m. airline departure, what time should I tell USA to pick me up? In the past, I've sat in the airport for over 2 hours and could have had one last drink at the pool. Suggestions? Thx.
They told us the time when we just used them in April. They'll probably tell you 2:45 or 3. They were great and pick up/drop offs both ways were perfect. We had enough time to sit down and have lunch. We're going back in Sep and will use them again for sure. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
They usually pick you up about 3 hours before flight. Yes..It dos suck since you end up sitting there for about 2 of those 3 hours...:bash::bash::bash::bash:
We had a 5:10 PM flight and they picked us up at 2:45 PM.....it wasn't too bad. You just never know what is going to happen at the airport..( o )( o ).
It's never bothered us. We're often tapped out by that point on a Sunday anyway, and with a early afternoon flight (12:40pm flight time usually), we won't be by the pool that day. We grab lunch and/or a beer or two pre-security and just hang out. Makes for a nice winddown after a long trip, to be honest.
You can change the time of pick up to what ever you think is reasonable. We have done that before. I would not be cutting it to close on weekends. We usually fly on Tuesdays or Wednesday's and can cut it closer because the airport is not as busy. If you are not checking in luggage it will take even less time.
Yes, as Al and Kim mention above you can change the time by emailing them after you've got your confirmation. What they don't want is people trying to cut it too fine and then blaming them if they miss their flight, so they always err on the side of having too much time than too little. I am sure we all do that when we head off from home for our outbound flights
Be careful of booking the USA Transfers too early, today I got a email about our time flight changes nothing major we get in 15 minutes early to Cancun, it may be a issue if it is a couple of hours plus or minus. I book the USA Transfers a week out from our travel start date and have not had an issue. T
