We went for the first time last April and never once did I feel excluded! There are large groups who hang out, but as soon as you start chatting with anyone, you become part of their party! We met so many people and made so many friends. It's pretty awesome there!
What Retinyl said is so very true.. Joyce and I have been with the April Addicts group since the very beginning (along with Woody the Woodman and Sue who started it). Our group has steadily gotten bigger each year.. we'll overlap anywhere from one night up to a whole week. Between here and FB we keep in touch with many of them all across the US, Canada, Mexico and England throughout the year. We get to see a lot of the group again starting April 23rd and we can't wait!
Amen! Rome and I chose TTR versus Sandals or something like that because he works from home and only gets to interact with our neighbors (who, luckily, are very fun, cool people) but that's still only a few times a week. So an awesome vacation for us was to meet people to party with for as many days as possible (sadly, only 5 this this year - I need Nana to retire so she can stay with the grandkids longer!!!!) Maybe it's my outgoing nature but nothing has seemed cliquish to me. I was under the assumption that things would be as stated by Dave. Maybe that's just because I don't mind imposing?? lol
I LOVE the Cliques at TTR. They are "absorbent" rather than "adsorbent." Chemistry major here, sorry.
