Steve, we already put our deposit down for the 3rd but would be willing to move the date to the 2nd if it will help.
Looking at the roll call and reviewing the various threads etc I think that moving this one to the 2nd isn't going to help much. We would be able to get one more couple with RossDan, but I'm not aware of anyone else we would gain, so we'd likely still be some way short. I'll leave it one more week and we'll check the numbers the day after Christmas and make a decision one way or another.
Count us in if it is moved to the 2nd, although 16 is a long way from 25+. We are not traveling with a group on this trip, and cannot help out much with recruiting.
I had a few private msg from others that were interested. Why not post a provisional and see if it floats....lol See how I did that.... Once the provisional is posted I will msg people to have them sign up asap and see if we can make the numbers. I will keep the receipt for the rubber dingy and may be able to return it...lol
Have been thinking about this and I think it's best to just cancel. 2 of the 12 have requested to swap to the 7th, which puts us at 10. Even if we were to add RossDan and Bart/Annette by switching to the 2nd it still leaves us at 14 and way short of the 25 we need. With only 5 or so days (over the Christmas period when things are quiet) to get the numbers before a final decision needs to be made I think I'll just call it early. I'll email everyone who has put a deposit in so far and offer the chance to switch to either the 27th or 7th, both of which are over the minimum number already and definitely going ahead. For anyone I don't hear back from within 48 hrs I'll send a refund. I think I was a little too ambitious in trying to accommodate everyone, we don't usually have any cruises after Christmas until about the end of the first week of Jan. It's probably the quietest time every year.
