Don't go to TTR in March. We've only had a single issue with a single dude, and Stacia handled it. Glad she did, I don't want to be in a Mexican jail. Seems to be the "complaint" of the year, though, the large crowds of single guys from the U.K. I wonder how TTR IS advertised there? We always read that it is a couple's place, though not "couples only." See y'all at the Sexy Pool in August!
not much advertising in the uk to be honest. we booked through Thomas cook and were 'warned' what the resort was like lol
As a British single guy, I've never read anything particularly sensationalist about it being particularly sexy, or good for hook-ups...and certainly not about it being good for singles/groups. It is very competitively priced though, and I think when combined with the reviews on Trip Advisor etc guys are drawing their own (wrong) conclusions. Its clearly a problem, and it seems as though the travel companies are doing their bit. Even if they banned group bookings of guys, there is nothing to stop 1 or 2 booking at a time. I promise to do my best to repair some of the damage done by the Brit singles though! As long as you are all nice to me and let me join the fun, games and drinking! I was told by more than one person from the UK that TTR was billed as an ideal place for singles to go to party (or something like that) by some travel agents. This was last December. Evidently management pointed out the error to agencies in the UK. Hopefully it gets better.
We were told significant changes are on the horizon.......what ever that means.....and will believe it when we see it. We also think that part of what we experienced were a result off the resort selling "evening passes". We never saw a couple of the guys after the evening. We were told that one of them had been removed from the resort.
Those day passes CAN be either a problem or a Neat-O thing. Shout out to WVDeb and her man who we met a year ago in August on White Dress Shirt Night, when the two of them visited TTR specifically for WDS, dressed to impress. Actually, in her case, UN-dressed and she did impress! Can't post those pics on CCC, don't ye know, so you can use that imagination. Good time, ended up in the Sports Pool skinny dip-fest with the rest of us overheated folks after the party.
