Thanks everyone. I think it was 2008 where we almost went the last week of June and everyone from this board was pretty hyped about that timeframe. Seemed like there was a fairly large crowd from here going around then that particular year.

So... as an update... My contract was ended abruptly last month (1 month and 1 day ago to be exact), forcing us to put our trip on hold. I'm due to start a new, permanent job on April 1st, so we're going to have to adjust our vacation plans to accommodate the restrictions on vacation days (I have to wait 6 months... sucks).

    How's October???

Peak of hurricane season for the Yucatan, the worst tropical storms have hit in Oct, and we got stuck in one that kind of ruined our first trip to TTR in Oct. 2011 - but there were no storms there in Oct. 2012, so it is just a gamble, but it was cheaper for us to book there in Oct. than our other trips in January and April. There were a lot of bees in Oct., and there are other forum posts that talk about bees being bad in the fall - the bees were horrible the last few days of our Oct. trip when we could actually be outside, and not bad at all in Jan. or April.

Hmmm... Maybe we'll push for November instead. I don't like to gamble with the weather and I hate bees.
