Unfortunately we need access to reliable wifi while at tempatation. how good is it now in the rooms / property? i know the lobby is probably best, but pricey for what you get and was wondering if there isn't a internet cafe nearby that would be a better alternative... thanks,
You can pay to use their computers I think it's like $5 for 20 mins. But they don't have wifi unless the have installed in recently.
The hotel does have wifi, but it's a bit pricey ($15 per day). The wifi has decent speed in the lobby, but is very hit or miss outside of the lobby. I think it had ok speed in the buffet, which is where we did our daily check-in in the mornings. If you are only doing emails and such I for a day or two then I would pay the $15, but if you need to send/receive large files then you might want to find a cafe near by.
I found it works okay in the rooms overlooking the sexy pool as well. I am a writer and worked for a couple hours each morning from my room and paty o'lounge.
Here's the deal with the wifi. For years I have been taking my computer and although it is a bit slow, I am able to talk to my kids and mom over skpe or facebook and check anything else that I need to check. We are premier members so ours is included. If your not a premier member then the cost is $15 per day to have access in your room. Not really sure how well that works tho. The lobby is much cheaper but for a limited amount of time, but keep in mind that it is a spanish computer so the buttons are not in the same place that we are use too. If you don't mind spending the time then you might be able to pick up a signal somewhere near the lobby that some say is pretty good.
The computers in the lobby are handy but as others have said they have a Spanish keyboard - took us a while to log in! If you don't want to log in daily or if you are happy to go off property - free wifi in Starbucks at La Isla shopping!
I "think" that Premiere Members are supposed to get complimentary WiFi... I think I recall that. We got our membership (not for that reason, LOL!) but when Stacia tried to find the wireless network where we were (Room 1139, Temptation Suite at the end of the property) she didn't even register it. So, out came the iPad, and no joy there either. So, at the least, as of last April they needed a signal boost/repeater out near the fringes.
