Expanding on the Great Alpharooms.com thread started earlier today

For some reason I had trouble charging my new booking. I got an email from alpharooms customer support this morning that they saw that and they are refunding my first booking, taking the new booking out of the balance and then sending me the rest. Hope it goes through fine! You should be ok doing it though!

 

We were on the phone with our credit card company while we booked and the transaction went through with no problem. We have also received and email conformation from alpharooms. We cx our previous booking and saved $800.00!!! Good luck to you

nothing like booking the next vacation before you have unpacked from your last one!!!

 

I just looked at my new itinerary and noticed there is something different from my original one. When booking, the rooms were listed as Double Deluxe, but on my new itinerary the room is called Double/Twin Room. I'm hoping there is not going to be twin beds when I arrive.

 

Just checked mine, my first booking was double/twin same as it is now. I don't think they have twin size beds though, so I think you'll be ok!

 

I just booked and mine says Double/Twin room as well. Even if we upgrade when we get there, we will still be way ahead of our original cost. Thanks to those who responded to my inquiry about their bookings. Larry

 

Ok, I just read this and rebooked thru Alpharooms. Got 6 nights Dec 1-7 for $305.99 for deluxe/twin. I am going to cancel my other reservation thru Funjet. So ended up saving $600!!! Holy crap! Hope we aren't sleeping in a tent on the beach and doing dishes after every meal!! Thanks for the heads up everyone.

Btw, my american express called my cell number while I tried booking to make sure I was the one using the card. Nice!

 

just an update about alpharooms price and to let you know that the premier staff found out about this last night and they had a meeting this morning with the hotel and told them by the premier contract they have with the hotel that the hotel isn't suppose to give a deal like that to any travel company that premier company cann't get. I am still here at the resort and was told that those that want that price better book soon since the price after December will not be allowed to go that low again. But we all the know that the resort wants to fill their rooms so we will see if the Premier Staff really are going to push this issue. So all they told me was people better book while they can and that after the available dates that are being offered Alpharooms won't be allowed to get rooms that cheap again.
All I can say was the reaction that the Premier Staff was showing today was priceless but now I think they are really going to put pressure on the hotel not to allow travel companies to get a better deal they what they can get. So you better book now . I expect all prices after the 12/22 will be alot more and we will see if they do force the resort to honor their contract with them. I am thinking this low price was the last straw for Premier since when we can get it this cheap why join Premier.

 

I disagree a little on the premier side..

This rate is ridiculously low. I have a good rate, overall with premier, and there are many times i beat the rates on the site by a lot.

i just look at this as a bonus.

but i know many premier members will be mad over this, i just dont subscribe to that line of thinking personally.
