We were there one time and were in a jacuzzi room that was constantly humid and never got cold. Finally moved last day but miserable night...we heated up the room a little ; )! Anyone have room locations or specific room numbers that suck and should be refused from the start???
2110! Right across from Paty-O's on the ground floor...noise all night and all morning, sliding patio door barely worked, shower barely worked! Having said that, another of the April Addicts moved in just after me and thought it was great ha ha. The only rooms that can be really intolerable are those surrounding Paty-O's, and ONLY if you are a light sleeper, as they are very convenient to everything apart from being noisy 24/7.
I have had a room (could have been the same one) I am not a light sleeper(might have been drunk and passed out) but emailed them fpr my confirmation and requested a quieter room and they said they would do their best. No problem I WILL BE AT TEMPTATIONS!!!! Debbie
I love the different thoughts on this topic. We have stayed above the Mexican Restaurant on the 2nd & 3rd floor. It's almost above the Sports Bar (in that building anyway and the 2nd floor or third floor is around the corner from the gym). It's ok, if you don't mind the walk and we had ocean view - so it was pretty for that reason. Hubby has a hard time doing stairs because of his knee, so we ended up in 2114 or 2113 one year (right outside of the sexy pool and PatyO's on the other side. We loooved the convenience of walking to the pool, buffet, our own potty while hanging at PatyO's. We didn't seem to care about the music/noise. I recall one time last year where some people were loud and woke us up around 5 in the morning after we passed out...but it was only one night. We are usually up until the music stops in PatyO's.... Now we request 2115 (last door before Sexy pool) or 2114/2113. I will never allow them to put us in 2110 because of what Matchandahalf said...so close to the kitchen. I am a somewhat light sleeper in the mornings. ~Jill~
My first trip I was put behind Margaritas restaurant (like Jill I'm guessing), on the second floor. I was near the gym and near the stairs that took me down to a short sidewalk to the sports pool, which (for you newbies) is right beside the sexy pool. I really liked that location. It was both quiet and convenient. My room number was in the 2000's, but I'm sorry, I can't remember the second digit. This trip, after getting out of 2110 as fast as my widdle feet could carry me , I was put in a 3rd floor room around the quiet pool. That was not ideal, as it was really quite a long walk to the stairs, then down two flights, then past the quiet pool, sports pool, and finally to the sexy pool. I'm not lazy, but I did find the long walk a bit inconvenient since I am the kind of person who always decides I need to do or get something in my room. But really, the hotel is quite small and no walk is really very far compared to some of the larger resorts. I'm kind of splitting hairs here in an effort to be helpful. The key point is to either request to be (1) close to Paty-O's if you are a heavy sleeper and an all-nighter every-nighter; or (2) away from Paty-O's if you are a light sleeper and suspect you will need some nights to crash by 2 a.m. to try to recharge your batteries. Craig and Rene stayed in the 5000 block last December and said the rooms are bigger there, but some of the rooms have a long walk to the action, while from some you can step right out onto the sidewalk that leads to the sexy pool. I believe all the 5000 roooms would be quiet, as they are at the far end of the hotel away from all the restaurants and pools.
I like the rooms right by the sexy pool but sometime you get back to the resort when the sun it up (sometimes for a few hours)and 1 hr later the music starts and that it rough but the thought of the night downtown lull's you to sleep! :headbanger: I wear my sunglasses at night!!! Sometimes that is necessary. :sunny: Debbie
Anything around the Quiet Pool is great. It can be quite a walk when you've been drinking all day or all evening - which makes running back to the room for stuff a hassle, but it's definitely quiet.
Both times I've been there I had room 5124.Second floor, nice balcony overlooking a courtyard, short walk to the sexy pool.Great room!! Please don't mess it up.
Our last visit, we had a room on the ground floor over there. In fact, of you go to the bathrooms outside at the sexy pool, and look across the grass in the direction of Paty O's you'll see the room. We were only annoyed our first night there because of the loud talking at 3am, but every other night we were so trashed we slept right through it. Never bothered us after the first night
