Hey all! Bored so I will start a thread. @Steve highlighted the changing of the terminology around the camera being down and that it might be part of the changes with the new CEO? We haven’t gone since change but are scheduled for March and May so far and I thought I remember there being an Sunrise to Sunset Party Crawl set for during our March trip when we booked (for 3/18). I no longer see it in the event calendar? That said, I don’t see it at all in any of the months this year (have had one the last few years in the week before Memorial Day) ? Am I missing it? Having survived 4 of 5 attempts including the first one, we were looking forward to getting another T Shirt. Are they gone? What other changes are people seeing if so?

We were there over new years. A lot of the resort is the same and the party depends on the people there. We had a good time for sure, and if it were my first time we’d would still think it was a wild experience. We booked on a Playful experience, our second time. I’d say that they were far more attentive to let us know what we had. I think the overall quality of the food was also better. We had a nice time. The big changes we noticed: Playmakers - Very toned down and not as engaging to the crowd. Less of them as well. Lots of the same old games, but at a lower energy level. The old pushing boundaries was gone. Activities - I found a lot of the games just ended abruptly. Not as engaging or fun to watch. Some stuff just didn’t happen even though it was on the schedule. The watersports was just gone, we went down to grab a paddleboarding and it was not there. (Maybe this is a time of year things.) Bash Closes at 3:00am - I was never a real late nighter, and the one time this trip we closed it down it was pretty quiet at 3:00am. Of note Bash closed down at 3 on New Years Eve. New Years - First time for the day, but they had advertised a special party in the pool. (Naked Volleyball, Wet T-shirt Contest Etc.) In the end they just did their regular Wednesday schedule. A bit of a letdown really. As mentioned Bash closed down in NYE at 3:00am… the neighboring resort was rocking until 6!
Playmakers have been high turnover and “less engaged” for awhile now and JJ is rarely there except for maybe once a trip the last couple years. The only playmaker who seems to get edgy/rowdy consistently is Prettyboy but even he has slowed down. The crowd always makes the difference but they can’t do it all if the resort doesn’t try. I personally think they are making a big mistake if they still think they can turn it into a trendy “Tic Tok”, bottle service, pay for every upcharge type resort. Their edge was always the sexy, flirty, all inclusive, party fun for “older” people ……not twenty something’s with their phones out (offense meant if true). They have no beach, the rooms are not great, food is mediocre, prices are creeping up and the location is poor so having the sexy adult spring break (and doing it wilder than anyone else) needs to be reinforced….not changed to whatever they keep trying to do??? Just my almost 60 year old guy opinion!
