Looking to come to TTR in may but with all the drama between the us and Mexico I hear the level of caution for tourists has gone up? I am never scared to be in Mexico but last time we had this president my fried almost got jailed in the airport and they were really unfriendly to Americans.. just curios because we love Mexico and haven’t been back in 3 years due to health reasons. I don’t mean to piss anyone off but just would like real info from people who have been there recently. Thanks in advance for any help you can provide!
We've never experienced any of that having traveled there almost every year for over a decade. What danger there is there comes from the Cartels fighting over territory.
Going next month and went in December, September and May last year (been working and vacationing there for over 20 years). Had a few issues here and there but the same as any trip, anywhere. Never had an issue that couldn’t be fixed with a $20 bill and a smile.
