You will be stuck with the same stuff on repeat twice a day. I have learned how to not worry about it, and when in the room, play what you like.
The music is like a box of chocolate. . . Being a DJ for a worldwide crowd has to be a PIA but if people aren't on the dance floor the DJ should change it up. Instead of doing that their DJs just seem to think well they aren't on the dance floor let me turn this up to 11 then they will like it . We have had good nights but more that not it seems the DJ is playing for a different crowd. I often if the dance floor is empty the DJ can go home early.
The music is usually a solid set of whatever the tone deaf and blind DJ can manage to crank to 11. Apparently the operating philosphy is, if the guests can't hold a converstion, they can't talk about why nobody is on the dance floor because of my absolute inability to read a crowd and music choices. And if it worked so well today, lets repeat it in every detail EVERY DAY! Seriously, we could get a better playlist tossng the DJ in the pool and connecting to any random guests phone.
Hmmmm... really not getting back very good feedback on music .. Looks like DJ needs a better understanding of needing to play different type of music .
They play lots of different types of music… but it seems they switch a bit too often, and stick with a genre a bit too long. We’ve been dancing on a packed floor and the DJ switches it up. Slowly 95% of the people leave… then they play 3-4 more songs while people avoid the dance floor. That could be 10-15 minutes of loud music that nobody really wants. I have a pretty varied taste in music. I even like country… but so don’t have any interest in two stepping in Mexico…
For me it’s not the music that sucks it’s the volume. I love loud music, but the volume there is so loud it’s ridiculous. But if you and all the other guests speak sign language it’ll be fine.
I might be going off into the deep end but I believe the category is LOUD! I'm getting old and cranky but LOUD is all I can call it.
