I saw pictures online of rooms with porches that opened up to a pool, like right off the room. However I haven't been able to find out which type of room it is
Plush Jacuzzi Rooms are located around the quiet pool. They are not swim-ups and you do need to go through the hallways to access the pool but they are poolview rooms.
If you’re searching online at a bunch of resorts, and looking at different room options, it’s quite possible you clicked on something, thought it was Temptations, and it was really another place. I know I did that when I was first looking for resorts in Cancun, and was surprised I could find a picture of a swim out at TTR just like you are describing.
We had a swim out room when we were at Temptation Miches. But that's closed, and nothing similar in Cancun
Best thing you can do is have one or two $100 bills when you check in and flash them and ask “ are there any better rooms available”? That is different then buying the “packages” beforehand. Guess I am giving up a couple of secrets since I am still drowning my sorrows after the Iowa loss! Mexico still operates on the “don’t ask, don’t tell or didn’t ask, don’t get” policy!
