Just returned from a Cancun trip after exploring a few adult-only properties. Although we enjoyed them, we are still in search of one with a similar party-type atmosphere as the original Temptation for 50+ year-olds. Does anyone have any suggestions?

We are part of the 50+ pre-renovation crowd. We have looked at a lot of options and haven’t found anything like it. The invention of the camera phone has ruined parties forever.

We have been searching. What have you found? We've been to Caliente several times and it's OK but more of a weekend place. Thursday evening until Sunday it can be a lot of fun, but dead the other times. We did find the crowd to be friendly, but not like the old TTR. We weren't too thrilled with Hedo, but part of that may have been the group. We plan to try one in southern California next spring.

I don't think we'll find what we had back then, but we'll keep looking.

Can I ask what group you went with? Our experience with Hedo was also lackluster, but I think it's because we didn't go with a group. Hedo has a lot of potential, but the resort itself does not have a lot of organized activities. So our visit in 2019 was good, but wasn't spectacular. I'd go again if I could find a good group (that's well-organized)

To answer the original post, we are fans of the pre-renovation TTR also and we miss it a lot. Post-reno TTR is OK but does not have that original vibe. We think Desire is a good alternative, but it's pretty pricey. We haven't been able to go this year because of the higher rates. We will try Temptation Grand Miches in January.

I think we're all looking. We tried the Golden Parnassus this year because it had been known as a potentional spot in the past, but it was boring. There isnt the critical mass of party people there to get it rolling, or at least when we stayed. We might have to rent a big AIRBNB villa and have our own. There are a few takeovers happening next year at other resorts that have potential.

We stayed a couple nights at Golden Parnassus (which we've been to before), a couple nights at TTR and 4 nights at Breathless Soul. TTR was very nice, the food was great and the accommodations were amazing - but super quiet at night. Breathless Soul had good food as well, but the party vibe was geared toward a younger crowd.

We are thinking about going to Cabo over Thanksgiving if anyone has any suggestions...
