Hello everyone, my wife and I M (34) F(30) booked our stay for the end of Feb-into early March to celebrate our 4th anniversary (Leap Day!!!) and also our honeymoon. We had one booked in summer 2020 and Covid & life postponed it. We have both researched on this forum and other sites but still both have a few questions. I apologize if these have been asked/answered before, but I searched pages and pages on this forum.

    1) We booked thru Expedia but are now regretting after I requested a premier referral. Does this request provide a better rate/experience worth canceling and rebooking? Is attending the sales pitch the only way? What are the different color wristbands and how do you get them? We read the purple was a good one, but it’s unclear how to get it.. Does the playful experience offer the same or similar perks like butler and pool chairs?

    2) How much is it to become a member?

    3) Which room style is the more quiet side? It looked like the garden and trendy ocean view were, but don’t the tower rooms come with extra perks/access and have locations near the “relaxing” side? We are definitely looking forward to participating in all the theme nights and having fun, but would love to get some good sleep too! lol

    4) So many mixed reviews on the food/drink selection…We definitely would like to enjoy a nice dinner on the evening of our anniversary, but it sounds like there’s no real guarantee we will even get in, especially as non-members. Any advice here?

    5) What’s the best way to get to and from the resort from the airport?

Thank you everyone in advance. We are so incredibly excited and looking forward to the experience.

1, if you have a referral price you already know the expedia price. A referral involves a mandatory sales pitch.(mixed reviews) 2. Memberships vary from a few thousand to over 100k. 3. Quiet, garden view. 4. Make a reservation and you will enjoy it. 5. USA transfer, reliable and about $75 round trip. The owner of this site has a link for transfer and Referrals.

Thank you for the reply and the information. I requested a referral but haven’t heard back and honestly not sit through a sales pitch if I don’t have to and the playful experience offers similar perks. We will definitely make a reservation upon arrival!!

I would advise against the sales pitch. We are (were) longtime, loyal fans of Temptation for years. In August 2021, on our 30th wedding anniversary, we went to Temptation on a referral. There were 2 sales people. The first guy was friendly and courteous. The next guy, his "boss", started out OK but became belligerent, hostile and verbally abusive. It was such a horrible experience for my husband & me that we considered scrapping the entire stay and heading home. We holed up in our room for a few hours trying to understand how a simple sales pitch could end up so ugly. We decided to not let that thug ruin our anniversary vacation (that we had already paid for)

The rest of that stay went well, but the sales pitch early in our week really left a sour taste in our mouths.

We have not been back since.

I would say try the resort out. It's a great resort. I still love it and miss it despite my isolated bad experience. It's super fun and sexy; you can be as wild or mild as you like, as long as you are respectful of others. The food is great. The drinks are great. The entertainment is amazing and the party doesn't stop.

As far as transportation, I have used these 3 companies, all with great success: USA Transfers, Canada Transfers and Sarmez.

Don't forget to try the Boobs Cruise!

One time one of the sales people tried to pester us in line waiting to check in. We respectfully turned him down a few times with a smile. When he continued to push and get slightly disrespectful, my wife in her beautiful Spanish told him "if you ask one more time, I'm going to charge back this entire vacation to our American Express card and let your manager know it was because of you." He walked and it was glorious. (she's Chingona :) )

Never let salespeople ruin a vacation or even talk shit to you. Sorry that happened but walking out is the best move. Glad you guys had a good time regardless.

Im respect to #5...we hear alllll the time about getting a shuttle. We have had great luck with a simple taxi each time we go. The pricing is standardized now (the have a placard with set rates) and its easy and direct to the resort. Easy peazy.

You can definitely eat pretty much anywhere without being a member. Just need to make reservations for some of the more popular spots like She. As far as quiet, look for rooms "past" the bridge area.

In our opinion, timeshares (being a member) is never, ever worth it from a financial standpoint. If you are really dead set on it, give a few visits a try and then look for someone selling theirs on the aftermarket. Have fun!!!

Great response, thank you very much for all the info & tips. We are sooo looking forward to it. Just watching the threads on this forum and the interaction of people makes me confident that it’s going to be exactly the experience we are looking for!!
