We were thinking of going August 2-6… Just noticed that there is a swim thick take over that weekend. Has anyone ever been there during this time? Would it be best to avoid this weekend if we are first timers?
This is the first time this group will be doing an official takeover there. Can’t really say either way if you should go or not and depends on what you’re looking for. The takeover is for people that are thicker, as the name implies. That said, it’s just the tower so there will be many regular guests there that are not part of it.
What percent of guests will be part of the takeover versus regular guests? Is the pool typically less or more busy with the takeover events? We are just looking to meet like-minded people and have a good time!
Sorry, but I have to tell this story not necessarily related to TTR. When people tell you that Hedonism Resort is all about the groups, take it seriously! We went there for the first time a couple years ago and paid no attention to groups. When we checked in, there was a sign in the lobby that said "Welcome Old Fat Guys and their Hot Wives" The only thing incorrect about the desceiption was the last part. Some things cannot be unseen!
LOL, the 1 only only trip there was very similar. Takeover and we had a good time but stuff we witness will make us never go back. We didn't know there was a takeover
As others have said, first time for this Takeover so hard to say. We have come down for MochaFest the last three Octobers and during any of their separate parties, the pool and night club is pretty quiet (which can be nice in its own way as you get to know the staff really well)
