We have only been to Fantasy Fest once and looked forward to going back post Covid. But we can only pull off one get away this Fall. Never been to Temptation in October. Any thoughts, feedback, or others planning FF - please speak up...
We’ve been Temptation twice now. Last trip was this past February. Never been to Fantasy Fest but we’re going this year with some friends we met at Temptation. I don’t think you can go wrong with either, but we are about trying new things. Give Temptation a shot, you will not be disappointed. But… if you do FF it would be awesome to meet up if our dates align.
I think it depends on what you want. In our experience, FF is much more of a "show" with so many crazy sights to see. TTR has historically been more participatory with more opportunities to meet fun people, but they are both what you make of them.
Living in Florida, we've been to Fantasy Fest many and loved it. That being said, the hotels have priced themselves out of any future trips. Almost impossible to get a room for less than $400 a night. Also, starting this year, the Key West city council wants to make Fantasy Fest a "family oriented" event. No more nude/semi-nude. So, we've been to our last Fantasy Fest. You can spend a week at TTR, including air fare, for less $ than a 4-day trip to Key West.
Make sure you do some research before you go. Key West city council is making changes, and hotel costs have gone through the roof.
Thank you! We booked our rooms back in Feb so we didn’t have to pay the current rates. We’ve also been following the city council decisions and they recently stated there will not be significant change to the event. There will be a “zone” now you have to hang out in rather than wherever you choose.
This is not accurate. There will still be the same "FF zone" as always and it will not be "family friendly". Nude has NEVER been allowed at any FF. People, as they do, simply pushed the envelope.
It’s a quick trip for us due to work. We get in midday on the 21st and fly back on the 23rd. Seems we missed you guys at TTR in Feb.
