We are not crazy about transportation time but just wanted to try something different and like the DR. Depending on our experience we will decide if it’s worth another trip instead of Cancun. I am not looking forward to the transportation but the wife wants to try a new resort.
It is my understanding that if you stay on the Grand side, you have access to both the Grand side and the Temptation side. Temptation side does not have access to Grand. Keeps the singles out. Best of both worlds. According to google maps it is 1 hour 25 minutes from Punta Cana to Miches. That is a long ride but not enough to not go. We are going to go in a day early, stay at the Sheridan by the airport, then go to the resort the next morning. Be there before noon.
Members staying at Grand will have access to both sides, for no fee. Non-Members staying at Grand will haver access to the Temptation side but will have to pay a fee. Persons staying at the Temptation side, regardless of membership, will not be able to visit the Grand side. Although... things can change, but that's the rule as of now. I wonder what the fee will be for non-members?
Just back from TTR and DRM and we were told during upgrade meeting that USA Transfer will most probably be there to assure our transfers to and fro! That and the good prices were good enough news for us to leap in November....we're just working out vacation dates with our employers before we book final dates at Grand Miches. It will be booked next week at latest
Can anybody be sure if the deposit required to book is refundable? I'd like to snag a reservation, but a million things could change between now and then.
