But it's incorrect to say "Mexico hasn’t had a mask requirement for a while so Cancun is all good too." because Mexico does not dictate US airline policy on incoming flights, the US does. As we both know, the policies/laws have changed in the US in the last few days, and yes masks are no longer required flying in. But that's nothing to do with any change in Mexico - which you suggested happened a while ago.
Lol the policy literally says it’s based on the destination country rules. The arrival country may not set the rules for the airlines but the policy is based on the destination country.
There has been no policy change in Mexico in the last few days. I believe there was one in the US. So, why were masks required a few days ago but not any more?
Why are they required for flights into Canada? What about this are you not understanding? Destination country rules dictate the policy
I don't know or care about flights from the US to Canada, why would I? Find me a link that says Mexico required masks on all inbound flights before the 19th, and now changed it, or STFU. Though you did say this change happened a while ago. If so, why were people wearing masks on incoming flights last week.
Were people from the US wearing masks on incoming US flights on Sunday, and before? If Mexico had a no mask required policy "for a while now", then why? You're not making very much sense here.
Great. So let's look at a quick summary: No masks required in home US airport, none in the plane, masks only required for the half hour or so when landing in Cancun airport none in transfer van to resort none at the resort for the week none in transfer van back to airport masks for 2 hours at airport then no masks once on plane & til we get home So 2.5 hours of masks or so for the week. We can deal with that...
