So we will be visiting Desires for the first time in a couple of months. Although we have been to TTR a few times we have never been to an au-natural resort before. How do you typically greet people you know? A naked hug seems like it would be awkward at best for the guys and a handshake seems a little too formal when you are drunk with all of your "bits" hanging out. What is the accepted practice?
Guys do the "bro hug", ladies hug however they want, guys hug ladies and keep their hips away from one another. Nudists who are close friends generally don't care either way. A hug is only sexual if you make it. LOL
Exactly. Granted, I've been around and sometimes experienced one of those hugs from a lady who Did make more than just a friendly greeting. Which is OK. It's odd, but you stop noticing that people are naked after a while. The time a "while" is ... is different for everybody, but it does end up just going away. For me, it's about the time we drive through the security gate in the shuttle for the airport. For Stacia, it's about 4 hours into the first day of the trip nowadays. The first trip it took her a day and a half.
Very true...we're fortunate to live in Central Florida with nude beaches to the east and fully nude resorts to the west. Nudity is just not a big deal when everyone else is nude, but first-timers don't know what they don't know so they are naturally apprehensive. Once you're naked and everyone else is naked, you quickly realize nobody cares that you're naked! LOL
Honestly, after the past 2 years, we thank our lucky stars we live in Florida! Not to mention we love being nude - Caliente Resort is like a little nude hamlet. Inside the walls, you see people riding their bikes, playing tennis, shuffleboard, swimming, beach volleyball, dancing, dining - all nude! A must try for anyone who's curious.
