Hello all, I am currently planning a bachelor party for my friend, and after googling “party resorts” in Cancun I found Temptation on every list. This resort sounds super appealing but after doing more digging I found a few reviews which led me to believe Temptation might not be the best fit. What I am looking for is a resort with a party atmosphere and an X factor (like the theme party nights and sexy vibe). I know bachelor party can come with a lot of connotations but no one is looking to get laid, just have a lot of fun. Is Temptation right for the trip? Other suggestions welcome!!
Personally I’m ok with this, however there have many of these groups in the last couple years who ruined it for the rest. Getting too drunk, grabbing ladies inappropriately, starting fights among the men, etc. This used to be a couples resort and a very large number of us prefer it that way but it seems the resort is now marketing otherwise. You will likely get some evil glances but if your group is respectful and responsible then you will likely have a good time.
It sounds like you are approaching it with the correct attitude. Ask questions, be respectful and don't have any expectations. Yes, past experiences with bachelor parties have soured many at the resort on the presence of the groups (myself included). Groups of buddies hanging out with lots of alcohol and half naked women can lead to stupid behavior. Husbands understand that and are much more protective of their wives if a single guy (or group) tries hanging around as opposed to being around another couple. But we have also met single guys there that were perfectly respectful and fun to hang around with. That being said your group will likely feel like the "odd man out" at times as the resort is mostly couples and activities are geared that way. The parties at night are not like going to a club with a bunch of single people. And groups of guys hanging out together are looked at with an eye of suspicion. While there are the occasionally people there looking to involve single men, it is definitely not the norm. If you are looking for a bachelor party at a welcoming location, Temptations is probably not the best choice. In Cancun the Hard Rock may be better, or hedo in Jamaica.
Temptation has a sexy vibe. If you are going not to get laid then that is against the vibe. It is a party resort but geared to couples. Singles have a place there but a pack of guys is not the what the party is for. I agree with Vegas in TX. There are better resorts for a bachelor party.
There has never, since the dawn of bachelor parties, been one where at least one attendee, if not the entire party was looking to get laid, whether that was the stated intent or not. That is where the unfortunate connotations and occasional confrontations come from. Feel free to come, but to be honest Vegas is probably a much better fit. The all too common scenario is the bros hang out at the pool, drink and watch boobs all day, at least one guys gets too drunk and eventually frustrated and sometimes a little grabby, and it deteriorates from there. Not saying this is your group, but think of the guys in your group looking for a sexy party resort, and you'll know which one is likely to screw it up for you.

Personally, I think a bunch of dudes staring at the girls is very immature at the least, creepish to most. Frat boy, spring break, bachelor parties....a reason why more are avoiding T. I've never seen a group of young guys who doesn't get too drunk and offend someone. I'm not the gatekeeper, but go to Mandala Bay beach Club area. That's what you need. Speakin honestly. Have fun, cannonball into the pool, grab young single girls, and do beer bongs there. Keep the boy cheers and puking, out of T!
