I did look at the prices at the Grand and they are very cheap right now. I bet those prices don't last long with how nice it appears to be. If you are going to try it I would jump on that deal.
We just found airfare out of Austin direct to Punta Cana for $335 a person over Thanksgiving week. Just booked that and 7 nights at Miches Grand. Looking forward to checking out the new resort. Hopefully we can find someone to share the cab ride with.
Just Booked for 11/25 Hope its on schedule!!! Prices were very good. Hard to pass on a trip at those prices. Flight and stay for 5 nights cost us $2K thats not bad at all.
After all the issues TTR had when they re-opened after the renovation we will be waiting awhile. Just make sure you are prepared the DR resorts might not be fully operational when it does open. I would rather pay full price and have everything operating as it should then to save money and run into countless issues. Not trying to be a negative nelly, but you should be prepared for the worst and hope for the best. It might be worth going back and looking at the old comments when TTR first opened after the renovation.
We were at the Grand opening definitely know what you're talking about. But as long as the pool and bar are open I'm good to go haha
More reading I'm doing the shuttle will be the biggest hurdle from the Airport to TTR. I hope to find something good. 2 Hours trip from the airport to TTR dont sound fun but hell we will make the best of it.
If you are Premier members they told us they will offer a shuttle service for members like they do in Cancun, details and prices have not been announced yet. They said they are expecting it to be private transfer and around $150-$200 round trip but I don't give much stock in prices that staff "hears" until it's announced.
