Just read Cancun covid status just turned to yellow. The status of Quintana Roo (Cancun, Tulum, Cozumel, etc.) is currently YELLOW meaning moderate risk. Not concerned about getting itt we have aleady had. Concerned about hotel occupancy, what's open, etc. I've read the news update just curious if anyone has been there during yellow and has first hand experience .
Nothing has changed in the past, and nothing will change. The hotel pretty much sets it's own rules, and they just have been doing their thing the same way the whole time. Occupancy will not change. If people book, they aren't saying no, haha.
Is it true you can pay to get a negative Covid test?! Hoping to have a great time while we are there, but kind of want to guarantee we can get home on time!
I was told by our travel agent that she heard, and only heard through the grape vine, you could test and slip them some extra money and get a negative test. That's only hear say. I don't think that would happen at the resort but maybe across the street on the PCR test.
I gave them $20, and said “make it painless and negative”. She literally barely touched me, and said you’re is negative. ♂️
Did you really have Covid? Did you test when you got home and test positive? We are coming Feb. 12-16 and we want to have a good time and party but will need the neg. test as well.
I started feeling a little off the last two days. Not the first time that has happened there. It got worse when I got home, but I touched it out, as they say. A few weeks later I did an antibody test, and my numbers confirmed that I had COVID recently. Not sure when or where I got it, but symptoms felt like they started at TTR.
