Exactly but for some reason we have some posters here who cannot comprehend this.

When we started going it was a place that was fun and safe with no worry about taking part in pool side events without ending up on someone’s camera phone and outed to the world for taking part in fun pool activities if they posted it. Sadly with the hotel sponsored webcams it lends the impression that video and photo taking around the pool is now ok.

Exactly! glad someone understand the issue even if they don’t agree with.

What a does a blurred webcam setup by hotel management for minimal viewing have anything to do with someone snapping a photo right near you at the sexy pool with a high resolution camera? Seriously, you're comparing apples to oranges here. I totally agree about the privacy of now allowing guests to snap pictures by the sexy pool or for that matter even if use their phones while they're there, but I'm not bothered in the slightest that the hotel management decided to put up a webcam hundreds of feet away facing the pool where you literally cannot make out a single persons face...Are you one of those that's also really upset that it's an all inclusive resort, but the hotel sells cabanas and hookahs to people who want to buy them? Lol, this is so not an issue and you need to just accept that.

Do you have any concept of how people think? If the hotel sets up a low res cam looking down, do you not think that it’s not conceivable for some guest to think that since the hotels cam is ok, I’ll set up my hi-res cam because that will be ok too. Or since there is a cam above streaming the sexy games, I’ll just pull out my cell phone on the pool side and video the sexy games and post it to my social media. People infer all the time based on what they see others do.

How people think? Ummmm, okay lets see, thhere is a low resolution web cam that isn't even listed anywhere on their site or advertised anywhere, so how anyone would find it is beyond me. Then you have staff literally telling you about the no camera policy from check in time all the way through the playmakers who repeat that rule DAILY before starting the games, so why would any dumbass assume they can whip out their phone and record??? If you can't tell the difference between this low resolution web cam provided by management for marketing purposes vs assholes who KNOW the damn rule about no cameras by the pool and disregard them, then I'm sorry, we'll just have to agree to disagree and leave it at that.

Do you always contradict yourself? Marketing is advertising.

Consistency in rules, if the hotel can break it there will be others who think they can too.

Hotel can break it??? The hotel gets to make those rules for their guests, not the other way around. If you don't like their rules, you can go elsewhere. This web cam has nothing to do with rules. They're not putting a high resolution camera down by the pool. It's facing the pool but from WAYYY up without being clear enough to identify ANY guests. It's so sad that you can't grasp this and you're actually bothered by it.

Same reason you're allowed to take selfies at the pool without catching people in the background. It's not about not allowing cameras, it's about respecting guests privacy and not getting them on camera. This web cam doesn't get ANY guests on camera, so what's the issue???

You’ve been told the issue several times by several people in different ways. We don’t care that it’s a fucking grainy image. It’s the message it sends. Why it matters is, the message it sends to all the idiots that feel like it’s their right to record and post everything they see.
