We too have been going for a long time and have run into a creeper of two. Here like any resort we visit my wife doesn't go anywhere in the dark alone. We don't need laptops or tablets when on vacation, trying to get away from all that and enjoy each other and friends. We don't take much to the pool, sunscreen , mugs and tip money which I keep with me. Never had any issues and we also use our safe all the time, we make a room scan when we leave each time. And we do this no matter where we are visiting even in the states.
Sad to see so many people cancelling their trips over this thread. Such a bummer. We absolutely cannot wait and will do our best to take every precaution. Everyone’s feedback has been extremely helpful. But I totally agree, these safety measures need to be implemented regardless of where you visit, even in the states. Just 7 more days ☀️☀️
now i have come to this amazing hotel, for some years now as a single guy. And would then be sad if people start looking bad at one. Because some bumps can not control themselves. All the Best love from Mr.Denmark
Three or four? (I think, without reviewing the whole thread again) The hotel has what, 420 rooms, and is full most of the time. A handful of released rooms will soon be snapped up by people on the waiting list. Who is losing out?
Me and my wife have been coming since 2011 and never had an issue aside from the occasional creep. It’s not the US. Make sure your passports and money are in the safe, bring next to nothing to the pool and you’ll be fine. There’s still no place like TTR. Just b aware of your surrounding
@Steve Fully agree but, in this time of media sensationalism (find one victim and focus only on that), I don’t think people even realize how it effects them and how easily they trigger?. A couple of first timers postpone or cancel? That never happens! Kidding but I would pay attention to people who have gone for years and start cancelling or not going as it would signal a shift. This whole thread was educational at least as a reminder that we have it pretty good in America, maybe too good because it is never our fault when something bad happens and we can always find someone to blame. If the age demographic changes or the race demographic changes or the music changes or the hotel decides the no camera policy is hurting their revenue stream then everyone else should either deal with it or push to change it back (cue the Eagles song “Get over It”). I for one would sign up for a CCC takeover event whenever you can pull yourself away from the Premiere bar long enough to set it up.???? That checks a lot of boxes for us as we would know everyone beforehand, we would be responsible for the outcome, the theme parties would be EPIC and TTR might see that they could have a much easier time without all the drama. You can already see the shift on the Facebook posts, rates have gone back up. You have a number of the younger, likely non-resort experienced, crowd complaining about prices and 30 and up year olds posting about the trips they booked. While I strongly believe money does not dictate how someone will behave I do believe age and experiences do.
I guess we are just super odd I have been hit on by single guys but nothing out of hand no more than going to a club . Most are respectful and we get along . Wes was once jumped by a random lady in the pool almost knocked him over and dunked him she kissed him with out asking , and groped him . we both were kinda shocked and upset by that the guy she was with just laughed . People thought it was funny but if it had happened to a woman they would be up in arms . No matter your sex it is not cool to glomp on someone with out permission . Consent is huge in our world I was corned by a couple once I was not happy and got loud when I told them off , they said something to the effect of but we are a couple , we are safe , idiots . Wes says we have been 15 times so that's not a bad record Hell I was playing online gin rummy the other day with nothing but a face pic and some guy got all xrated trying to talk with me . Doesn't matter where you are assholes are everywhere .
All true and I do realize of all the LS clubs, resorts, adult environments, etc… that we’ve been to, this is the first time I’ve ever been truly assaulted. And we’ve been to every LS resort and a ton of LS clubs, etc. I’m sad it occurred, I’m even more sad it occurred at TTR. Over the years, I’ve had the typical hug and butt rub, the sneaky kiss, and the creepy comments (from both men & women). We all tend tolerate a bit more in the adult environment. However to be forcefully grabbed by a male stranger, lifted up, breast sucked, to leave bruises, all in a split second without knowing what is happening in broad day light, next to the pool, in the middle of a lot of people… that is a new level. I was lucky to have a female stranger notice it happen, see I was upset and walk me back. So, forgive me for holding on to the shock for a little while. Lesson learned and we will definitely be more safe everywhere we go. I have always been the free spirit that talked to everyone, treated everyone with respect, didn’t see the bad in anyone. Just naive I guess, but I saw it as enjoying life to the fullest. Shame on anyone that thinks this is ok. I don’t care for any excuses, I don’t deserve to be grabbed like a piece of meat. My only hope of posting my experience is to insure the ladies have an escort anywhere they go, no matter the time of day. This goes for any adult environment. No need for discussion really, just be more careful. Still have a blast and enjoy your vacay… at the same time, make it a habit to escort the ladies to the bar, to the bathroom, to the room, and anywhere they go. Don’t leave them alone.
I am very sorry this happened to you , I hope security got the little bastard . No one deserves this happening to them no matter where they are. You are very strong for sharing your story .
