So, I booked this last week on a whim since I unexpectedly got the week of 8/9 off. This will be my first solo and first single-guy vacation so I booked the funnest looking adults only resort I could find. I knew it was going to be a party/sexy vibe but a little concerned there's a couples=good, singles (especially guys!)=bad dynamic after doing more and more research. So, any tips on how to do it right and have a good time as an early 40s single guy? Let's say being social and a non-jerk are already a given (for life in general and here)...how else to make this a blast? Thanks for any advice!
You'll get a lot of varying replies, but do a search on here and you'll see many threads that have already broached the topic. There are many couple who don't want singles to be allowed, but we're not one of them. We have met some great single guys here that are now lifelong friends. Don't let a few negative comments make you second guess your decision.
We have no problems with single guys, on our 10 + trips to TTR we've made friends with quite a few. Just be respectful. Chat with both the husband and wife. Don't try to be sneaky and approach/chat with the wife as soon as hubby has his back turned for a minute. Invite a couple to join you for dinner. Don't get sloppy drunk lol
don't only talk to women talk to the guys as well this will show you aren't one of the bad apples .. non jerk stuff ..don't hit on a woman after a guy walks away .. do not touch anyone with out permission , do not think everyone there is looking to hook up , don't be a dick just look to make friends if any sexy time happens thats a bonus and if you make friends your next visit will be even better if you keep in touch with those people and go back at the same time. This happens a lot , when we leave we keep in touch with at least 5 new people and some of those come back at the same time the next year . if you can join the games the staff plays and have fun ..that will let people see your face and attitude , some people aren't up for it and that's ok dress up for theme nights .. anything you want to do doesn't have to be super sexy can be funny one year I put googly eyes on my nipples for pasties and told everyone hey my eyes are down here.. almost killed a bartender he was laughing so hard made a lot of friends that night lol just be yourself and have a good time
