We are at Temptation now. Our room was broken into last night. Spent the night at the police station filing a report. Everything was taken. Phones. I pads. Laptop. Jewelry. And worst of all. Our passports. Manager won’t show us the footage of who was in our room. Told us that their insurance company will be in touch with us. The police were no help. If anyone knows who we can contact it would be greatly appreciated. No one here seems willing to help us.
Very sorry to hear this. You need to contact the US embassy(consulate) Monday morning to report the passports being stolen and assistance in getting passports for you to return to the states. They show to only be open from 8:30 to 1:30pm M-F. Hope that helps as a start.
Wow, that's awful. Were your passports in the safe? Did they break in through the door or window? I'm so sorry this happened.
Not in our safe. Lesson learned. Everything was in my pack pack. But my wife’s passport was in her purse. They left the purse but took her passport out of it. It was an inside job. Got back from bash at 3am and we are locked out of our room. Had to go to the front desk to get back into the room. When we finally got back in, there was a used mask on the floor and we knew right away someone had been thru our room. Security won’t show us the footage of the hallway claiming “company policy”. Spent 2 hours at the police station. Temptation now saying that it’s now up to the police to do an investigation
Absolute bullshit! We may cancel our Halloween trip. Will be our 25th. Just too much going on we do not like. Makes us both sick as we still like the place.
We’ve been coming to TTR for a long time. This trip was definitely different, in so many ways. The vibe has changed and we don’t feel safe and secure as before. We are still here for a few more days, but we’ve encountered so many issues… enough for us to decide by our second day that we won’t be returning to TTR.
