I guess with TTR selling out quite regularly now, it appears more and more people are finding their friends can't easily join their trip last second by booking another room. I have seen this question come up a few times recently in the various TTR Facebook groups.
100%. Desire went this way a few years back. I do think there's more people holding rooms on a deposit now too, so last second stuff does often pop-up. But, I wouldn't count on it.
