I've been on hold for the second day with the airline for over and hour and 30mins trying to get our flights straightened out. They keep changing them and we're getting screwed.. no one answers, they just keep you on hold forever!
First change we had to leave 6 hours earlier on return (got 2 $$ vouchers), second change they added 2 hours to layover incoming (got miles), third change wanted us to go through DET v ATL but will arrive 3 hours earlier (got two more $$ vouchers), last change we are basically back on the original flights (but I still asked for and got $$ for the “inconvenience”). I am pretty sure we are at a profit now on the airfare with enough to cover two trips. But I spent alot of time on hold or waiting for call backs. Airlines don’t have the staff and are not digesting the demand right now. One other big change is the seat restrictions are supposed to go away (welcome back middle seats) this weekend (on Delta) at least and that is changing a lot of things....more seats available.
i have been at work for 10 days, 4 more to go, then 2 days home before our trip, this has been the longest 2 weeks at work in my life. im ready to get home, get my stuff packed and get my ass to the sexy pool
Ha! Delta has moved my return up 2 hours so I can live with that. But the comment reminded me of the time they rerouted me from ATL to Detroit on the way to CUN. I was upgraded to 1st class that flight and didn't mind the extra hour one bit. Just initiated the first day curse a little sooner.
